Parent's Lounge

While Glenroy Specialist School does not run formal parent groups we take special care to provide and extend the offer of support to our families. We recognise that our families often live with an extra level of complexity and stress to already busy lives.

A Parents’ Lounge is provided within the school to enable parents a space to meet, rest or work and access the internet.

We hold information sessions and workshops during the school day. These are held in a casual environment, and have covered such topics developing sensory stories, aided communication, home modifications, family planning/puberty, Key Word signing and nutrition.

We ask for parent contributions for our Easter and Christmas Raffles and support for our Christmas Party day.

We encourage involvement, new ideas and feedback.
